The Unperfect Chef

Updated: Aug 13, 2019

I love knowledge. I love knowing things. I love sharing things I know. To me we should share more because we all grow and gain something by sharing. We shouldn't have limits to what we can learn based on access or greed of others. That's why I want to share what I have learned and what I continue to learn. I've thought about doing something online many times. Have had a few attempts (clearly none that lasted), but one thing that I always struggled with is the perfection. Making everything look good or getting it perfect in an online world of pretty pictures. Yet that's not what food is. Food can be messy. Food can be ugly. Food can be unperfect. I've had my fair share of failures and mistakes.

These failures are something I think should be shared and discussed. As I learn more and grow as a chef I don't want to be dishonest and hide what I learned along the way. I want to show that unperfect side of food. That’s where this came from, not only will I share my success I want to share my failures. We can’t deny we live in an unperfect world, so why pretend things are perfect and ignore what isn’t? Beauty can be found in failure too.
